The Casual Ramble——Stickers, Saints & Sinners——Nov. 1, 2026

Howdy, Casual Ramblers,

And happy All Saints’ Day! I hope everyone had a delightfully spooky Halloween.

I myself had a modest one. Between struggling with writing projects as widespread as the poetry, essays about recent events in the news & the Portland Trail Blazers, I feel like I have been fighting for my life consecrating space for it all.

So I took a flyer this Hallow’s Eve. I made a quick trip to the pumpkin patch with friends but bought no gourds, made no costume & went to no party. Instead I spent the evening with my friend Koa, playing board games & watching kids steal candy from the bowl outside his front door.

We didn’t watch hard enough, it seems, as one of the groups said “sod it” & made off with the whole bowl.

Not to be petty but if that doesn’t call for a hex upon their houses, I don’t know what would. Alas, Koa & I were too busy deciphering the book of runes that was the rules for our boardgame, Northgard. By the time we noticed, the trick had already been played.

There is a metaphor here (there always is when you are a writer) about how I feel regarding the past two weeks. I have the sneaking suspicion that I have been hoodwinked out of a fortnight by a lack of attention. The exception of course being that I am both thief & thieved.

In the past two weeks, I have scribbled lots, written little & published less. Don’t even get me started on video editing, either, mainly because I have not. However, the good news is that I just received another batch of Lyrics For a Song I Don’t Know, along with a new batch of stickers.

Yes, it has been a while since we had stickers here at the Casual Ramble. So much so I felt they needed to reflect the change in content & logo that has taken place since we last had any 18 months ago.

On that note, check them out!

A pencil sketch of a man with glasses, featuring a QR code and a warning message about the content accessed through the code, humorously suggesting it leads to the ramblings of an insane person.

I’ll be selling these stickers along with copies of Lyrics at vending events in the future. You can also a receive a sticker right now with a purchase of Lyrics direct from the Casual Ramble website. For my Patreon subscribers, do not worry on missing out for the moment; things are in the works currently for another round of subscriber mail & stickers will be sent along with that round of mail.

For now, I’m asking everyone to sit tight as I come up with a schedule of events for vending & regain a pace of writing & publishing that is both quality & sustainable.

I have had enough sugar rushes in the meantime.

Ramble on,

——The Casual Rambler

About The Casual Rambler

An insane man moonlighting as a respectable member of society from Portland, Oregon. A rock ‘n’ roller since his mother first spun The Police’s “Roxanne,” Ben is a lover of all things independent music. Once upon a time, a friend told him to write about music. So he started doing that under the title of a Willie Bobo cover by Santana. Now he just casually rambles about whatever crosses his mind.
