Howdy Casual Ramblers & welcome to the new & improved Casual Poetry Drop for July 2026!
I can’t lie, I have been excited for this one. If nothing else because I finally think I cracked the code on how I wanted to share my poetry between the blog & the Patreon in a way that makes the most sense.
For the longest time, I felt like I was doing double the work for a single post. Duplicating what was written on Patreon & inserting it into the blog, contributing to a general sense that the blog had become secondary to the Patreon & that both had lost what makes each of them unique.
Not any more.
The new strategy is this: write exclusive poems for my Patreon supporters with stories about where they derive, then pick my favorites from those offerings & bundle them together as a sort of tapas plate for the followers of the blog.
In this way, subscribers can enjoy exclusive behind-the-scenes DVD commentary & free members can enjoy a curated collection of poems I think best sum up my life over the past month.
It feels balanced, fair, & a foundation for where the Casual Ramble can go in the future. If you’d like to learn a little more about each of the poems shared today, consider supporting me on Patreon! If not, no worries, we will be sharing more poems each month.
