Howdy, Casual Rambler, and welcome to our monthly poetry drop for August!
As explained in yesterday’s update, I wanted to add two poems that I typed up in August but had their origins in July. Specifically, in my landmark event for the year, Oregon Country Fair.
July was a scant month otherwise, as I spent most of the rest of the month recovering from my annual performance & festival bender weekend. It would have just felt weird if I left out the poetry I wrote while rambling along the Figure Eight.
However, it is important to note that this is not the only thing that happened in July. I performed under fireworks on Independence Night, danced with friends at Sellwood Park under the starlight & scribbled up poems to help when the anxiety starts to grip me tight.
