The passing of the calendar year into 2025 came without much fanfare for me. But I must admit, I’ve not been in much of a celebratory mood. Instead I took a moment to reflect.
Well, I promised I’d write about Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes and, despite it taking a while—so long in fact, that I had to rewatch the film—we’re here now.
I wanted to write this with 13 games gone. But the Portland Trail Blazers are here now, sitting at 8-18. So let’s bang a gong and get it on!

Thanksgiving happened this past weekend. I, er, dunno if you noticed, but it happened.
I am not a fan of horror movies. Not in the grotesque sense that is, the contemporary sense. Gore, blood, mutilation, shock. These are not for me.

Tonight, the Portland Trail Blazers play Ratiopharm Ulm in their third preseason game at the Rose Garden. This is the one preseason game I will be attending and I have more than a few things I am interested to see.
