A Casual Ramble About James Talarico

Howdy Casual Ramblers!

I meant to have this one out sooner, but organizing my thoughts took longer than I expected and, to be honest, most of the thoughts in my journal did not make it to this ramble. Some of them were somewhat tangential to the message I wanted to express. Some of them not. One of them was cooked right into the last page, however.

You can watch Colbert’s interview with James Talarico here. I’m not saying you should do this and only this today. But I highly recommend taking the energy from it and doing something constructive with it.

Something like quitting your Paramount+ subscription, building a garden bed, painting some signs, and getting to know your neighbors.

Y’know, the kind of shit some capitalist would want to monetize and then outsource to artificial intelligence.

I’d like to give thanks to my wonderful patrons, Jennifer, Julie, Michael, Zero, Roshi and Phil, as well as the many free members of the Casual Ramble. Without you, everything that has been would not be and everything that is to come would not happen. This post was released a week early to my Patreon supporters, if you’d like to receive early access to poetry, short films and other works, you can join the Casual Ramble Patreon via the link below!

About The Casual Rambler

An insane man moonlighting as a respectable member of society from Portland, Oregon. A rock ‘n’ roller since his mother first spun The Police’s “Roxanne,” Ben is a lover of all things independent music. Once upon a time, a friend told him to write about music. So he started doing that under the title of a Willie Bobo cover by Santana. Now he just casually rambles about whatever crosses his mind.
